3 things Disney World doesn't tell you

Hello and happy Friday to you -

I wanted to chat today about things Disney tells people that just aren't true in reality so you have the info handy for your trip.

1. Some reservations open at midnight eastern time

Disney says that most advanced reservations can be made at 6 a.m. eastern time. That's true for dining, but that's not true for many of the things Disney calls "Enchanting Extras" which actually open at midnight eastern time. If you wait until 6 a.m., the most popular things could be booked by then, including:

2. Transportation begins an hour (or more) before Early Theme Park Entry

Disney says that transportation begins 45 minutes before regular park opening (which would be just 15 minutes before early entry), but the truth is that the transportation begins an hour or more before Early Theme Park Entry begins.

We usually try to be on the 1st bus of the day to optimize our rope drop touring strategy.

3. Park closing time isn't actually park closing time

When Disney lists the park hours, they say a park closes at a specific time, but that's not entirely true.

That time represents the time you need to be in line for an attraction in order to ride it, but the attractions will continue to run until the line is cleared.

In addition to the rides, you can still continue to shop in many stores, take PhotoPass pics, and some nighttime entertainment (like Fantasmic) is even scheduled after the official closing time.

Have other things you've come across that haven't played out in reality? We'd love to add to the list to make sure people have all the info before their trips.

Have a fantastic weekend,

Shannon
