Hello there -
As we say goodbye to 1 holiday, we've got our minds on some other ones today - specifically Halloween and Christmas parties which we get a lot of questions about.
Some things we get asked a lot:
How long can I wait to buy my party tickets before they sell out?
We started tracking sellout dates for the parties to help you know how much time you have.
While all of the parties will likely sell out, some dates go faster than others.
- Last year, most Halloween parties sold out in August and September, with Halloween night selling out on July 3.
- For the Christmas party, most dates sold out in November.
That means for most dates, you have time to purchase if you need it.
Want specific sellout dates? We track them here.
Where should we eat before the party begins?
We never want people to waste a lot of time during the parties with dining, so it's smart to do that beforehand.
We typically eat at Grand Floridian Cafe and many do Steakhouse 71. Both of those locations serve lunch until 2 and begin dinner at 5, so you'll need to plan around that.
You could also consider a Quick Service location like Captain Cook's at the Poly or Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary to dine without a reservation.
Will I be able to book a Lightning Lane with a party ticket?
Many people want to know if they can book a Lightning Lane during the 4-6 time period where they're allowed into Magic Kingdom with a party ticket but the party hasn't officially begun.
This question is hard to answer not only because there's a new Lightning Lane system launching just before the parties begin, but also because they did it differently at the Halloween and Christmas parties last year (1 allowed it, the other didn't).
We'll be working to find that out this year, so stay tuned.

QUICK TIP OF THE DAY |

Consider using small glow sticks on dark rides for kids who are a little scared but still want to ride. Itβs just enough light to help them without bothering other guests.
