Want the best views?

WDW Prep School

Hello there -

Hope your summer is off to a great start!

I wanted to chat today about how to get the best parade and nighttime show views during your Disney World trip.

Here are some ideas for you.

Best Magic Kingdom fireworks views

You have lots of options here, including paid options, spots outside the park, etc.

  • Best view of both projections and fireworks: Hub area, near the reserved sections for the Dessert Party viewing.
  • Best premium view (costs extra): The reserved Hub grass area provided for people who pay for the Pre Parties and Post Parties.
  • Best view of projections only: If you don’t care about seeing the fireworks, but you’re really interested in seeing the projections, aim to be between the Walt Partners statue and the castle, right in the center.
  • Best for a quick exit: If you are looking to exit the park before the crowds, watch from the front of the park near the flagpole. You won’t be able to see the projections clearly, but you’ll avoid the swarm of people leaving as soon as the show is over.
  • Best view away from Main Street: If you don’t want to fight the crowds on Main Street, you can catch the fireworks from other areas in the park. Tomorrowland and Fantasyland are both great options, and that view will give you a totally different perspective on the show. Just keep in mind that you wont see the projections.
  • Best view outside Magic Kingdom: Even though many of the shows at Magic Kingdom are now projection heavy, you can still catch the fireworks portions from several places outside the park. This is a great option for anyone who loves the look of the fireworks, but would prefer to avoid the crowds and sounds.

Best Magic Kingdom parade views

You'll find me somewhere shady during a daytime parade, but along Main Street for a nighttime parade.

  • Best for fewer crowds: Frontierland because it tends to be less crowded (and there are even a few places where you can sit)
  • Best for photographs: For daytime parades, in the Hub (right side when facing Cinderella Castle), on the outside of the circle because you can get some really great pictures with the castle in the background. For the parades during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, by the flag pole so you can get all of Main Street in the pics, too.
  • Best for shade and/or a quick escape: At the front of the park, under the Main Street U.S.A. Train Station in the shade. Also, since you are at the front of the park, it is easy to leave after.

Best EPCOT fireworks views

Good news here is that there are a lot of viewing areas that will work well. Here are some ideas:

  • Best view of fireworks: World Showcase Plaza (at the entrance to the World Showcase between Disney Traders and Port of Entry) has the best views of the fireworks (but it will also be the most crowded). The American Adventure also has decent views.
  • Best premium view (costs extra): The Epcot Fireworks Dinner Package at Rose & Crown.
  • Best for a quick exit: If you need to exit out the front of the park, and you want to get out as quickly as possible, watch from the back of the crowd at World Showcase Plaza. Mexico and Canada would also get you to the front faster. If you need to exit out the International Gateway, watch from the bridge between France and the UK.
  • Best views outside of World Showcase Plaza and American Adventure: Italy and Canada
  • Best place to snag a spot late: Between France and Morocco
  • Best place to watch while sitting: Tables outside the Rose & Crown pub (not the tables that are part of the restaurant)
  • Best view outside Epcot: Topolinos

Where to watch Disney Dreams That Soar drone show

You basically have 2 choices here: watch from Disney Springs or Saratoga Springs Resort.

Viewing from Disney Springs will be more crowded but you'll be able to hear the music better and the text will be more readable.

Heading to Saratoga Springs Resort will be the opposite - less crowded, faint music, and the text will be backwards.

QUICK TIP OF THE DAY

Bounceback offers are promotions that are usually found in folders in Disney World resort rooms and/or the info will be emailed to you (if you don’t find one, dial 8844 from your room phone to ask what’s available).
They are often good deals that you can take advantage of if you book your next trip while still at Disney World. Learn more about how they work
